Event descriptions lists event registration fee. Final Registration deadline is January 1, 2010. (must be postmarked by). Note: Any registration received after January 1, 2010 will be subject to a $3 per event late fee.

No registrations will be accepted after January 11 (or postmarked by).

Randolph Tennis Center Changes its Name

The Randolph Tennis Center has been renamed the "Jeff Reffkin Tennis Center."

After 34 years of tennis-community dedication and industry-wide leadership, Jim Reffkin is being recognized for his service with the naming of the Tennis Center in his honor. On June 2, 2009, the Tucson Mayor and City Council passed Resolution No. 21295 approving renaming of the Randolph Tennis Center to “Jim Reffkin Tennis Center."

Eligibility

All participants are to participate in the age category of their 2010 birthday. For example: if a gentleman is turning 60 in December of 2010, he is to compete in the 60-64 category (even though he will be 59 at the time of competition).

Age Divisions Change

The 80+ category will be divided into 5 year increments (80-84, 85-89, 90-94, etc.)

Doubles Sports

Partner sports (Badminton, Bridge, Croquet, Pickleball, Pinochle, Shuffleboard, Table Tennis and Tennis only) are now considered a doubles event and you must register using the doubles entry form.

Tennis is now a Doubles Event only (no more Tennis Singles Events).

T-Shirt/Pin Purchasing and Pick-Up

Tucson Senior Olympic Festival 26th anniversary t-shirts and souvenir pins are available. For more information, see purchasing t-shirts and pins.

2010 t-shirt

 

Pre-purchased t-shirts and pins will be available during the Opening Ceremony/Senior Expo at Reid Park/DeMeester Outdoor Performance Center, Saturday, January 23 from 11am-2pm.

Confirmation sheets will need to be shown in order to claim t-shirts and pins.

If you are unable to attend the Opening Ceremonies, t-shirts and pins will be sent to one of your scheduled events. After January 31, you may pick-up your t-shirts and pins at the Senior Olympic Festival office, located in the Tucson Parks and Recreation/Southwest District office, from 9am-4pm.

NOTE:T-shirts will only be available at Opening Ceremonies, event sites, and at the Southwest District.
