to: Friday, January 14 through Sunday, January 29, 2012 Final registration deadline is December 31, 2011 (must be postmarked by). Note: Any registration received after January 1, 2012 will be subject to a $3 per event late fee. No registrations will be accepted after January 11, 2012 (or postmarked by). There is a one-time processing fee which will be attached to your accrued registration costs ($5 per each singles registration form, $10 per each doubles entry form, and $20 per each team registration form). With each $5 paid, you will receive an official 2012 Senior Olympic Festival T-shirt. Please make sure that you indicate which t-shirt size you would like when registering. Additional t-shirts are available to purchase at a cost of $5. Pins are also available to purchase at a cost of $2 each. their Reader Application For walk-in/mail in registration all individual participants must submit a completed (both sides) registration form, found on the Individual Events, and appropriate payment for total participation fees. Note: Team/Doubles Registration cannot be done over the phone through EZEE-REG. Partner sports (Badminton, Croquet, Pickleball, Shuffleboard, Table Tennis and Tennis only) are now considered a team sport and you must register using the Doubles Entry and Waiver Form from the Team and Doubles Registration page. All money for team/doubles events must be sent in together. Team Captains/Manager (3 on 3 Basketball, Bocce and Volleyball only) must submit a completed Team/Doubles Entry Form and completed roster form along with appropriate participation fees. Registration forms and payment can be mailed/walked in to 900 S Randolph Way, Tucson, AZ 85716. Registration questions can be answered by calling (520) 791-4877. Confirmations will be mailed/e-mailed to all participants and teams. If you have not received your confirmation by January 14, 2012, please call the Senior Olympics Office. For team/doubles events, only the captain/team manager will receive the confirmation. Please have your confirmation available at all events. Application All participants are to participate in the age category of their 2012 birthday. For example: if a gentleman is turning 60 in December of 2012, he is to compete in the 60-64 category (even though he will be 59 at the time of competition). Volleyball and 3 on 3 Basketball will compete in the following age brackets: 50+, 55+, 60+, 65+, 70+ and 75+, etc. Note: Players must be prepared to show valid picture I.D. with picture. Competition for the following will be for all ages: Bocce, Bridge, Canasta, Cribbage, Croquet, Euchre, Leisure Walks, Pinochle, and Quickstart Tennis. All other competition will be in 5 year increments beginning with 50-54. (Except Tennis: see Tennis event descriptions for details on age groups.) Note: The 80+ category will be divided into 5 year increments (80-84, 85-89, 90-94, etc.) Men and women will compete separately except for the following events: Bridge, Canasta, Cribbage, Euchre, Leisure Walks, Pinochle, and Quickstart Tennis.. In January/February you can expect cool mornings and sometimes warm afternoons. In case of inclement weather we will make every effort to continue the competitions as scheduled. However, Senior Olympic Festival reserves the right to postpone or cancel events due to inclement weather. Note: No refunds will be given as the result of circumstances beyond our control. Family, friends and the general public are invited to attend all events as spectators free of charge. Call the Senior Olympic Festival Office at 520/791-3244 for housing information. All awards will be presented on-site following completion of the event. Olympic style medals will be awarded to first, second and third place finishers. Commemorative awards will be given to Leisure Walk participants. Insurance is the responsibility of each participant.
